Keris Bintang

Keris Bintang – The Immortal Grip
Comic Concept | Indonesian Superhero Mythos

What if a national icon came back not just as a legend, but as a supernatural force of vengeance?

Keris Bintang is a conceptual comic character inspired by Indonesian celebrity and YouTuber Deddy Corbuzier, reimagined as a fallen wrestling champion who was assassinated during his prime. At the height of his fame, he was betrayed by a secret organization that feared his growing influence. But death was only the beginning.

Resurrected through the mystical power of an ancient Keris Bintang—a sentient blade forged in celestial fire and rooted in Nusantara's deep spiritual lore—he returns bound to a black, eternal tendril-like force. Part symbiote, part divine curse, this force grants him celestial strength, regenerative fury, and control over spectral energy. Think Venom meets Black Adam, with the soul of the archipelago.
